SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTIONAN-SITU AIR SPARGE PROCEDURES <br /> Between 22 June 2004 and 23 September 2004,an SVE remediation system was operated at the site, <br /> utilizing a regenerative vacuum blower to selectively apply an induced vacuum to wells VW-1, <br /> VW-2,VW-5 and VW-6 During this time, IAS remediation was continually operated at the site on <br /> I wells AW-1 through AW-4 (screened 25-30 feet), AW-5 (screened 30-35 feet) and MW-4B <br /> (screened 45-50 feet) utilizing an air compressor to infect air beneath the water table, the injected <br /> air should volatilize dissolved hydrocarbons in ground water,and force hydrocarbon vapors into the <br /> vadose zone, where they can be withdrawn by the above SVE system Operation and design of <br /> SVE and TAS systems for the site were described in Remedial Action Work Plan dated 07 July 2000, <br /> prepared by AGE, and approved by the EHD by letter dated 14 July 2000 <br /> Between 04-05 August 2004, LAS operations were temporarily suspended to replace a faulty motor <br /> on the LAS air compressor, additionally, due to a crack in the IAS air-coinp`ressor tank,operation of <br />' the IAS/SVE remediation system was temporarily suspended between 07-23 September 2004 for <br /> repairs and replacement of the air compressor tank <br /> 3 1 SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION SYSTEM PROCEDURES <br /> The SVE system utilized a Fuji, 3-horsepower regenerative vacuum blower to volatilize and extract <br /> adsorbed hydrocarbon vapor from the subsurface A manifold network of two-inch diameter, <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> M < <br />
