The discrete groundwater sample collected from 75 feet contained 120 micrograms per liter (pg/I) of
TPH-as-gasoline, 690 pg/l of MTBE, and 97 µg11 of 1,2-DCA The groundwater sample collected
from 90 feet only contained MTBE at 2 9 pg/l, and the groundwater sample collected at 125 feet
only contained 1,2-DCA at 0 5 pgll The discrete groundwater sample results are summarized in
Table 3 and the laboratory report and chain-of-custody are included in Appendix E
Analytical results of the groundwater samples indicate that dissolved concentrations of gasoline
hydrocarbons continue to exist in groundwater beneath the site TPH-as-gasoline was only
detected in the groundwater sample collected from VW-2 at a concentration of 90 pg/l Benzene
was only detected in the groundwater sample collected from MW-2 at a concentration of 0 73 pg/1
The oxygenate compound TBA was only detected in the groundwater sample collected from VW-2
at a concentration of 8 5 µg11 The lead scavenger additive 1,2-DCA was detected in the
groundwater samples collected from MW-3, MW-5, MW-7 and VW-2, at a maximum concentration
of 18 pg/I in MW-5 The oxygenate compound MTBE was detected in groundwater collected from
six of the nine monitoring wells (MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, MW-7, VW-1, and VW-2) The highest
concentration of MTBE was detected at 100 µg11 in MW-3 The lateral extent of MTBE in
groundwater is shown in Figure 7
The groundwater sample collected from the irrigation well (Well #2) did not contain detectable
concentrations of any of the compounds analyzed The cumulative groundwater analytical results
are summarized in Table 5 The laboratory reports and chain-of-custody documents are included
as Appendix E
10
