1
ATC Associates Inc.
(:
VYATC
1117 Lone Palm Avenue, Suite B
Modesto, California 95351209-579-2221
n s s 0 c l n r e.s .Ir cc fax: 209-579-2225
Once the monitoring wells are installed, the tops of the well casings will be surveyed to sub-
meter accuracy relative to a known benchmark by a State of California licensed land surveyor.
At least 48 hours after installation, the four new wells will be developed using surging and
bailing techniques until the purged groundwater is relatively sediment free. The wells will be
sampled at least 48 hours after they are developed. Prior to the collection of groundwater
samples, the depth to groundwater will be measured in each well to evaluate the direction and
magnitude of the groundwater gradient beneath the site and a minimum of three well volumes
(casing and sand pack) of groundwater will be purged from each well. Temperature, pH, and
electric conductivity will be measured and allowed to stabilize. Water samples will be collected
using disposable bailers, one dedicated to each well.
Sample Analyses
Groundwater samples collected from the monitoring wells will be submitted under chain-of- i
custody procedures to a State-certified laboratory and analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, MTBE, ETBE,
DIPE,TBA, TAME, 1,2-DCA, and EDB utilizing EPA Method 8260B.
Report Preparation
i
Upon completion of the investigative activities, a summary report will be prepared for submittal'
to the EHD and Regional Water Quality Control Board. The report will include a description of
field activities, laboratory analytical results, and well/boring logs.
The work described in this workplan will be performed under the direction of a California
Registered Professional Engineer or Geologist and will be conducted in accordance with ATC's
Site Safety Plan (SSP) and Quality Control/Quality Assurance Plan already on file with
PHS/EHD for this site.
Projected Schedule
Once approval of this workplan has been received, ATC will confirm a schedule for drilling
activities. ATC will notify EHD at least 48 hours prior to beginning any field activities. The f
summary report will be submitted to EHD approximately four to five weeks after the completion
of field activities.
