Joe's Truck Stop
j Page 4
October 6, 1999
which will include Tertiary Butanol, MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, TAME and lead scavangers by
EPA method 8260.
i
Groundwater Sampling
I Before initiating sampling activities, measurements of the depth to water and depth to
bottom of the well casing will be made to determine the well volume for all wells. A
minimum of three well volumes will be purged from each well before collecting
groundwater samples.
The pH, temperature, and specific conductivity of the groundwater will be measured
during the well purging phase. The final measurements will be compared with
physical water quality data obtained during well development to ensure the aquifer
water was inside the well casing before collecting samples. A summary of the field
measurements during well purging will be presented in the report. The water samples
will be collected with hand held PVC disposable bailers. Sample containers will be
labeled and chilled on ice immediately after collection. The groundwater samples will
be analyzed for TPH-G by EPA Modified 8015, BTEX by EPA Method 8260, and for
Oxygenated Compounds which will include Tertiary Butanol, MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, and
TAME. Samples will be analyzed by a Department of Health Services (DHS)-Certified
Laboratory.
Assessment Report
At the conclusion of the field work and analytical testing, a written report will be
prepared. The subsurface report will document the results of the study as well as our
recommendations for any further action, if necessary.
I
I
I
l '
