I
PACIFIC`yBELLi
A Pacific Telesis Company
44 W. Yokuts Avenue, lst Flr.
Stockton, California 95207
Stockton, June 22, 1989 RECEIVED
JUN 28 1989
San Joaquin County Planning Division
1810 Hazelton Avenue SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
Stockton, California 95206 PLANNING DIVISION
Attention: Kerry Sullivan, Associate Planner
Thank you for the opportunity to review application number GP-88-22/ZR-89-26/
Tract Number 2288 (SU-89-25) for the rezoning of 343.91 acres from AG 40 to
M-1 on State Route 26 at Baldwin Lane. Pacific Bell has no objection to the
rezoning as proposed.
Upon completion of rezoning and filing of the proposed subdivision map and
pursuant to rates and schedules on file with the California Public Utilities
Commission, Pacific Bell will consider this area a commercial real estate
development. Basically, these schedules state that Pacific Bell will not
extend any telephone facilities into a project until certain contracts have
been signed and monies (some of which is refundable) have been advanced to
the Company.
In addition to the above condition, it should be noted by the developer that
the proposed rezoning splits Pacific Bell' s wire center boundaries. The
proposed 114 acre subdivision is located in the Stockton-Ashley wire center
and will be served from State Route 26. The remaining 220 acres are located
in the Stockton-Main wire center and will be served from East Main Street.
These boundaries are filed with the C.P.U.C. and the developer will have to
bear the administrative costs should he request a change for future
development of the 220 acre parcel (see attached maps) .
If I may be of further assistance on this project, please contact me at
(209) 474-4727.
Sincerely,
Bill Chelseth
Engineer
BC:eg
Enc.
