CHRONOLOGY
5154 HOGAN LANE, LODI
05/08/86 A 350 gallon diesel UST and a 550 gallon gasoline UST were
removed. The soil sample results for BTEX were non detect but
the detection limits were 1 ppm. Lead was evidenced at 23 ppm.
The UST excavations were filled.
11/24/92 The UST areas were again excavated and the soil was sampled.
There was no odor or discoloration noted to the soil in the area of
the former diesel UST and the results of the soil sample were non
detect at .005 ppm for BTEX , 2.5 ppm for TPH-gas and 5 ppm for
TPH-diesel. The former gasoline UST area was noted to have
odor and discoloration to the soil and the soil sample results
evidenced contamination. Lead analysis was non detect at 5 ppm.
The soil was placed back in the excavations.
09/21/95 The gasoline UST area had 40 cubic yards of soil excavated from
it. The excavation was 10'X10' and 11 feet deep. Soil samples
were collected from the 4 sidewalls and the bottom of the
excavation. All samples evidenced contamination. 22 cubic yards
of soil that appeared contaminated was left in a stockpile. The
remaining 18 cubic yards appeared clean and was used to fill the
excavation with other clean material. The stockpiled soil was
sampled and the results indicated low levels of contamination.
12/13-14/95 4 soil probes were advanced to 40 feet below surface grade. P1
was in the former gasoline UST location. Soil samples from this
probe evidenced very low levels of contamination. P2, P3 and P4
were east of the UST area and within 20 feet of the area. All the
soil samples were non detect.
05/07/98 One soil probe was advanced 10 feet west of the gasoline UST
area to 40 feet below surface grade. The soil results were non
detect. A water sample was collected from the domestic well and
the results were non detect. Depth to groundwater is about 60 feet
below grade.
06/19/98 PHS/EHD received a Site Assessment Report in which the
consultant recommended site closure.
11/24/98 PHS/EHD concurs with site closure recommendation.
