However, PHS-EHD needs additional supporting information in
order to document the actual or potential risk of this contamination now and in the future.
Specifically, the presence, distribution and ultimate fate of methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE) at the site
must be addressed. Also, a comprehensive receptor survey (to include current and potential future
private, municipal, iN8ustrial and agricultural wells, subsurface structures, and vapor pathways) must be
conducted for this site. These items should be submitted to PHS-EHD for review. Should these data
indicate no significant risk to current and future beneficial uses of groundwater and to human health and
the environment, PHS-EHD will prepare this site for closure consideration.
Until this site receives a closure certification, please continue to monitor the existing wells at the site.
PHS-EHD is using this information to document plume behavior overtime.
If you have any questions, or wish to discuss this letter in more detail, please contact Linda Turkatte,
Senior REHS, at (209)468-3441.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
'Li)nda
3
A.Turkatte, Senior REHS Margaret, agorio, REHS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
LT
c: CVRWQCB, Beth Thayer
c: Alisto Engineering Group, Brad Nagle
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
