This will
identify any gradient influences and any direction of contaminant migration.
The sail and groundwater contamination shall be physically defined in order to design a proper
remediation plan. This further definition should be accomplished by installing additional monitoring wells.
Placement of these monitoring wells should be based on information obtained from additional water level
measurements and gradient determination. In addition the existing monitoring wells should be sampled to
confirm the results from the December 21, 1992 sampling event.
A workplan shall be submitted to PHS/EHD by May 10, 1993 to further define the lateral and vertical
extent of soil and groundwater contamination.
Pursuant to Section 2652(d) of the Underground Storage Tank Regulations (California Code of
Regulations, Title 23, Chapter 16) a quarterly monitoring report shall be submitted to Public Health
Services, Environmental Health Division and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
(CVRWQCB) until the investigation and cleanup of the site is deemed adequate. The report is to show
the:
-status of investigation and cleanup activities including the results of all investigations
completed to date;
-proposed continuing or next phase of investigation;
-method of cleanup proposed or implemented,schedules for the completion of the
investigation of the site and remediation;
-method and location of disposal of the released hazardous substance and any
contaminated soil, groundwater or surface water;
-manifest required for transport of hazardous substances;
-monitoring well data including groundwater elevation, pH, conductivity, gradient;
-analytical results of groundwater or soil sampling; and
-site map showing the "zero line" of contamination, if known, and changes in the above
measurements over the last quarter.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health tare Services 10
