The dissolved groundwater plume has been defined. The
r npacted groundwater beneath the site is currently being remediated by an interim ozone microsparge system.
G:
ecause of the operating Ozone Micro sparge Interim Remedial System onsite,ConocoPhillips decided to suspend
weekly groundwater purging events following the February 18,2003 groundwater purging event. The first system
status report for the ozone system concluded that the interim remedial system appears to be effective in reducing
MtBE concentrations in groundwater beneath the site.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
GR recommends the continuation of the quarterly monitoring and sampling program to evaluate the dissolved
hydrocarbon plume. GR also recommends that wells MW-3 and MW-10 continue to be sampled on a monthly basis
to monitor the effectiveness of the interim ozone microsparge system.
CONSULTANT: Gettler-Ryan Inc.
140193.1
2
