Yes
-anticipated start? February 1999
-anticipated completion? unknown
Amount of impacted groundwater recovered this quarter? 35,000 ^ _(gal)
Amount of impacted groundwater recovered historically? 808,080 (gal)
CONCLUSIONS:
The vertical and lateral extent of soil impact is defined. Additional subsurface investigation in the vicinity of well
E-`;:-: ;_BIW-10 has been completed but did not define the downgradient extent of impacted groundwater. The impacted
groundwater beneath the site is currently being remediated by an ozone microsparge system. Because of the
operating Ozone Microsparge Interim Remedial System onsite, ConocoPhillips has decided to suspend weekly
groundwater purging events following the February 18, 2003 groundwater purging event. GR has reviewed the
groundwater flow direction from recent QMR reports and had found a discrepancy in the survey data. GR plans to
re-issue the last three QMR potentiometric maps with the corrected data.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
GR recommends the continuation of the quarterly monitoring and sampling program to determine the extent of the
dissolved hydrocarbon plume. GR also recommends that wells MW-3 and MW-10 be sampled on a monthly basis
to determine the effectiveness of the interim ozone microsparge system.
CONSULTANT: Gettler - Ryan Inc.
140193.1
2
E
t
