WORK PLAN FOR ADDITIONAL GROUNDWATER DELINEATION <br /> AND OZONE MICROSPARGE SYSTEM INSTALLATION <br /> at <br /> Tosco(Former BP)Service Station No. 11195 <br /> 16500 South Interstate-5 <br /> Lathrop,California <br /> Report No. 140193.14-1 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Tosco Corporation (Tosco), a subsidiary of ConocoPhillips, Gettler-Ryan Inc. <br /> (GR) has prepared this Work Plan for the installation of three offsite groundwater monitoring wells <br /> to further evaluate groundwater conditions downgradient of the subject site. This work was <br /> recommended in GR's report number 140193.12-2, Monitoring Well Installation Report, dated <br /> July 24, 2002. This Work Plan also describes the proposed installation of an ozone microsparge <br /> r system and ozone sparge points as an interim remedial action, as recommended in GR's report <br /> number 140193.13,Interim Corrective Action Plan, dated August 28, 2002. The proposed scope <br /> of work includes: updating the site safety plan; obtaining the required well and sparge point <br /> installation permits; installing three offsite groundwater monitoring wells; installing onsite ozone <br /> sparge points; installing an ozone microsparge system; surveying monitoring wellhead elevations; <br /> developing and sampling the wells; collecting and submitting selected soil samples for chemical <br /> analysis; arranging for Tosco's contractor to dispose of the waste materials and preparing a report <br /> presenting the observations associated with the well installation and the sparge system startup. <br /> The scope of work proposed in this work plan is intended to comply with the State of California <br /> Water Resources Control Board's Leaking Underground Fuel Tanks (LUFT) Manual and <br /> California Underground Storage Tank Regulations, 1994, the Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (RWQCB) Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation <br /> and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites, and the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services—Environmental Health Division(EHD) guidelines. <br /> I <br /> - I <br />
