M-10A Investigation Work Plan Addendum October 28, 2011
Nest/6 USA,Inc.,Ripon, California
3.1.2 Phase II
Phase II will commence following analysis of sampling results from Phase I. This phase of the
CPT investigation will involve drilling and sampling in the target zone(s)at the step-out locations
spaced approximately 200 feet to the west and northwest (Figure 2). As with the Phase I CPT
locations, a corresponding sample boring will be drilled adjacent to each CPT boring once target
zones are identified. Groundwater samples will be collected in target zone(s) and an expedited
laboratory tum-around time will be requested. ECM will base the Phase II CPT locations on the
extent of COC's identified in each Phase I boring location, and the predominant groundwater
flow direction. The CPT locations will be placed on a 100-foot to 200-foot spacing and will be
located along City of Ripon rights-of-way, if possible.
ECM will evaluate the sampling results from step out CPT locations to determine if additional
sampling is needed or desirable. If it is determined that additional sampling is warranted
outside the Phase I and Phase II borings identified in this Work Plan, ECM will consult with the
RWQCB for additional proposed locations.
ECM will conduct soil and groundwater drilling and sampling in accordance with the 2010 M-
IOA Investigation Work Plans.
4 REPORTING
At the conclusion of the final phase of field work, ECM will prepare and submit an Investigation
Report to the RWQCB within 60 days from the completion of field work. The report will include
boring logs, tabulated analytical results, a map showing all boring locations, a description of any
modifications made to this initial Work Plan, conclusions, and recommendations.
5 ENDNOTES
ECM, 2010.
