This <br /> data should be utilized in the risk assessment to determine the potential <br /> for future public health risks associated with groundwater uses. <br /> 3) Chloroform has been detected in groundwater on-site at very high <br /> concentrations (maximum of 37,600 ppb) due, apparently, to a localized hot <br /> spot. Chloroform was not selected as a chemical of concern apparently <br /> because it has not been detected off-site at levels in excess of the MCL <br /> (100 ppb) , and because Nestle claims it is currently being remediated using <br /> a vapor extraction system. Because of the hick levels of chloroform <br /> detected on-site and since a cleanup goal must be established, 1 recommend <br /> that this analyte be included as a chemical of concern. <br /> 4) Recommended aquifer cleanup goals, including the basis for their selection, <br /> should be stated for all chemicals of concern including chloroform. <br />
