REASONS FOR RAYOX'S SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE <br /> The reasons for Rayox' s vastly superior performance are <br /> principally as follows: <br /> 1. Proprietary Reactor Design <br /> Rayox' s reactor design incorporates a number of unique <br /> features which result in an improved mass and radiation <br /> transfer. <br /> 2. The Solarchem Lamp <br /> With the Solarchem Lamp not only are extra high intensities <br /> attained, but the emission occurs where the contaminant is <br /> photochemically active. <br /> 3. The ENOX Additives <br /> Solarchem has developed a series of consumable additives <br /> ( "catalysts" ) which can greatly enhance the efficiency of the <br /> radical generation and utilization process . <br /> FLOW SCHEMATIC <br /> A process flow schematic for a typical installed system is <br /> shown in Figure 1 . This unit is designed to run in either <br /> continuous or batch mode. Important features of the typical unit <br /> include: <br /> * Annular 20 litre ultraviolet reactors <br /> * Capacity of 03 injection into water stream prior to each <br /> reactor <br /> -8- <br />
