Box 307 <br /> kipon, CA 95366 <br /> llel'4�1 7L <br /> Dear Mr. Groen: <br /> As you are aware from our recent discussions, we need to install, <br /> and have access to three groundwater monitoring wells on your <br /> property in Ripon, CA. These wells are required by the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) as part <br /> of an ongoing investigation to evaluate the extent of organic <br /> chemical migration in the aquifers in the area. <br /> Pritcher Drilling Company, has been retained by Nestle Foods to <br /> drill these monitoring wells ; and they are being provided with <br /> engineering and hydrogeological expertise by the consulting firm <br /> of Camp Dresser and McKee. Both of these firms carry all appro- <br /> priate insurance coverage for this type of work. <br /> These monitoring wells will be located on your property at <br /> 126 N. Gilbert Drive, Ripon, CA./ Fhey will be drilled to a <br /> depth of 40 feet, 120 feet, and 24,13 -feet, respectively and will <br /> be finished off flush to the ground. Each well will be locked to <br /> prevent unauthorized access. Water samples collected from <br /> these wells will be analyzed by EPA methods with specific <br /> emphasis on determination of concentration of: <br /> trichloroethylene, 1 , 1, 1-trichloroethane, trans-1 , 2-dichloro- _ <br /> ethylene, and vinyl chloride. In addition, water level measure- <br /> ment will also be taken. <br /> Copies of all well drilling/logging data and analytical results <br /> that are submitted to the CVRWQCB will also be forwarded to you <br /> a� upon request. <br /> Nestle Foods agrees to indemnify you from any loss or expense <br /> arising out of drilling, operating, and maintaining of these <br /> monitoring wells on your Ripon property, as contemplated by <br /> this letter. <br /> Please acknowledge your approval for Pritcher Drilling Co. /CDM <br /> to install the above-referenced monitoring wells on your porperty <br /> by signing on the next page and returning a copy of this letter <br />
