BORGES, <br /> In accordance with San Joaquin County Department of Environmental. <br /> Health permitting requirements, this presents our wort: plan for <br /> our proposed water sampling at the subject site located in <br /> Manteca, California. This sampling is a portion of the <br /> preliminary Environmental. Site Assessment being conducted in <br /> association with a pending property transfer. The purpose of the <br /> sampling is to assess the quality of the near surface groundwater, <br /> from beneath the site. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site comprises 3.9 acres at the northwest corner of the <br /> intersection of Industrial Parr Drive and Bessemer Avenue in the <br /> Manteca Industrial Park. The property has been divided into two <br /> parcels designated as assessor"s parcel numbers 221-•19-57 and <br /> 221-19-58. <br /> BORING INSTALLATION AND SAMPLING <br /> One shallow boring will be drilled at the approximate center of <br /> the subject property. Based on information from surrounding <br /> sites, groundwater is expected to be encountered from 20 to 30 <br /> feet below the ground surface. The boring will be drilled using <br /> hollow stem augers. The groundwater will be sampled through the <br /> augers using a bailer. All drilling and sampling equipment will <br /> be steam-cleaned prior to and after use. All soil cuttings will <br /> be barreled in 55 gallon drums and stored on site pending the <br /> results of the anal. yt.i.cal. testing. These materials will be <br /> disposed of in accordance with all the pertinent regulatory <br /> agency requirements. The boring will be sealed by grouting with a <br />
