NOTES FOR BORING LOG B1
1. Boring B1 was drilled on 15 August 1990 with truck-mounted, 8-inch-diameter,
hollow-stem auger equipment to the depth shown on the log, and was backfilled with
cement/bentonite grout upon completion of drilling.
2. The following symbol, T, denotes a continuous dry core obtained using a wireline
system over the depth interval indicated.
The following symbol,no denotes a depth interval where there was no recovery.
3. The following symbol,3, denotes the groundwater level encountered during drilling
at the depth shown on the boring log.
The following symbol, s, denotes the stabilized groundwater level at the date and
depth shown on the boring log.
4. The surface elevation was determined by interpolation between contour lines on a
U.S.G.S., 7.5 minute series topographic map.
Figure 3A
