Chevron Products Company 2 <br /> Chevron Terminal 1001621,22888 Kasson Road,Banta CA February 28.2002 <br /> SYSTEM PERFORMANCE AND MAINTENANCE: <br /> The following activities were performed during this period <br /> • A routine inspection was conducted on January 24 and 25, 2002 Routine inspections <br /> include operational checks, and measuring depth to water (DTW), turbidity, dissolved <br /> oxygen, conductivity, oxygen reduction potential, pH and temperature in select wells <br /> within the ISO-GEN monitoring network Wells included in the ISO-GEN monitoring <br /> network included monitoring wells MW-24A through MW-32A, MW-36UA through <br /> MW-42UA, and MW--7A, MW-14A, MW-15A, MW-18A, and MW-19A ISO-GEN <br /> units are deployed in test wells TW-1 through TW-6 See Figure 2- ISO-GEN Site Plan <br /> Field notes from weekly inspections are included as Attachment C <br /> • Groundwater quality samples were collected on January 24 and 25, 2002, from select <br /> ISO-GEN monitoring wells MW-24A through MW-32A Each well was purged prior to <br /> sampling and field parameters were measured Field parameters are summarized in Table <br /> 1 —Field Parameters Water samples were then collected and analyzed for organic <br /> compounds and chemical parameters <br /> o Organic compounds include total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), <br /> total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd),benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, <br /> and xylenes (BTEX), and fuel oxygenates, <br /> . o Chemical paramenters include total alkalinity, dissolved iron, manganese, sulfate, <br /> nitrate, total organic carbon, ferrous iron and chemical oxygen demand <br /> Laboratory analytical results are summarized in Table 2—Groundwater Analytical Data <br /> Field and laboratory procedures are included as Attachment B Analytical Reports with <br /> chain-of-custody records and field data sheets are included as Attachment C <br /> • ISO-GEN units in TW-1, TW-2, TW-3 and TW-4 operated intermittently from December <br /> 28, 2001 through January 24, 2002 TW-5 and TW-6 operated continuously throughout <br /> the reporting period, <br /> • On January 24, 2002 ISO-GEN test wells TW-1, TW-2, TW-3 and TW-4 were found to <br /> be inoperative, ISO-GEN controllers were reset and reactivated <br /> DISCUSSION OF CONCENTRATIONS <br /> Field measurements and laboratory test results collected during this reporting period are <br /> summarized in Table 1-Field Parameters and Table 2-Groundwater Analytical Data Review <br /> of the field parameters suggests <br /> • Four of seven upper-A wells (MW-36UA,MW-37UA,MW-40UA and MW-42UA) and <br /> • two of fourteen A-wells (MW-7A and MW-14A) contained either a sheen or separate <br /> phase hydrocarbons during the monitoring event and field parameters were not collected, <br /> I\Chevron1100162 11Pernodic Monttortng\ISO GEN MonthlyVan 02 ISOGBN status report doc <br />
