GROUP INC <br /> April 27, 1999 <br /> Project 920-002 2E <br /> Ms Gail Wiggett- MRP <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> Central Valley Region <br /> 3443 Routier Road, Suite A <br /> Sacramento, California 95827 <br /> Re First Quarter 1999 Self Monitonng Program Report <br /> Chevron Fuel Terminal 1001621 <br /> 22888 South Kasson Road at Interstate 5 <br /> Banta, California <br /> Dear Ms Wiggett <br /> On behalf of Chevron Products Company(Chevron), International Technology Corporation <br /> (formerly Pacific Environmental Group, Inc)has prepared this quarterly groundwater report <br /> in order to satisfy the regulatory requirements associated with groundwater monitoring at the <br /> site referenced above (Figure 1) The requirements are set forth in the California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board- Central Valley Region's (CRWQCB-CVR)Monitoring and <br /> Reporting Program (MRP)No 94-811 This report summarizes groundwater self monitoring <br /> and related activities for the first quarter 1999 <br /> GROUNDWATER GRADIENT <br /> A groundwater mound is present in the south-central portion of the site (m the vicinity of the <br /> office) Groundwater flow beneath most of the site was to the north and northwest during <br /> this quarter with a gradient of approximately 0 016 ft/ft However, a southerly component of <br /> flow was observed in the southern portion of the site A groundwater elevation contour map <br /> for February 22, 1999 is included as Figure 1 Groundwater flow has historically been to the <br /> north to northeast, with gradients ranging from approximately 0 003 to 0 007 ft/ft <br /> GROUNDWATER QUALITY DATA <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from all site wells (MW-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, <br /> 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 2, 22, 23,T-1, T-3, and WSW-1) except Well MW-9 on <br /> February 22 and 23, 1999 IT personal were again unable to locate Well MW-9 during the <br /> .� first quarter sampling event Groundwater samples were analyzed for the presence of total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons calculated as gasoline (TPH-g), total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> 11315 Sunrise Gold Circle, Suite M, Rancho Cordova, California 95742 (916) 858-2350 FAX(916) 858-2355 <br />
