HUNTER STREET - CANLIS BUILDING <br /> Remove one ( 1 ) 10 , 000 gallon single-wall fiberglass underground storage tank <br /> ( UST) , and related piping if present, which previously stored diesel fuel . Special <br /> precautionary measures may be necessary due to the position of the tank <br /> relative to the building and its overhang , and the tank's proximity to the City of <br /> Stockton 's pedestrian walkway. <br /> Obtain a lithological soil profile through direct push point drilling , logging by the <br /> Unified Soil Classification System , in the southwest corner of the tank pit <br /> commencing at a depth of at least 25 . 5 feet below grade surface (bgs) . Collect <br /> soil samples every 5 feet (or at changes in the lithology) ; submit samples <br /> collected from approximate depths bgs at 25 , 30 , 35 , and 40 ; depth to <br /> groundwater is approximately 42 - 45 feet bgs . Obtain a "grab water" sample <br /> through the direct push point drilling mechanism . <br /> Soil results shall be analyzed as follows : <br /> Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons , Diesel GC- FID (3550) <br /> Detection Limits 1 . 0 ppm ( ug/kg) <br /> One ( 1 ) Waste Extraction Test (WET) Title 22 , CCR , Section <br /> 66700 <br /> Perform deionized water extraction <br /> Water result shall be analyzed as follows: <br /> Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons, Diesel GC-FID (3510) <br /> Detection Limits 50 . 0 ppb ( ug/I) <br /> Backfill and compact the tank void with clean native soil and/or sand and rock <br /> mixture ; NO PEA GRAVEL. Soil used for the backfill may be obtained from the <br /> County's Corporation Yard of stockpiled soil providing the soil is preapproved by <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> ( PHS-EHD) , Site Mitigation Unit. <br />
