NC'K—IC1.7—r1 ! 1U0= 5V YKUIVYUL.7V1`I .7VV1R I.NIVML t-KI.IJ 1V= a11(l OJL .] /.]G YMIaL Y/ G1 Assessor's Parcel No_: 152-100-50 PEP,MIT TO ENTER FOR GEOTECHNICAL SAMPLING FOR FOLSOM SOUTH CANAL CONNECTION PROJECT For a consideration of$500 per occurrence, permission is granted to East Bay Municipal Utility District ("District") for a period between December 1, I996 through March 31, 1997 to enter in, over, and upon owner's land to bore hole(s) and excavate test pit(s) as delineated on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof for the purposes of geotechnical field exploration in connection with the District's Initial Study of the Folsom South Canal Connection Project. Geotechnical sampling will be either bore hole(s) or test pit(s)_ The exploration bole(s) will be approximately 30-50 feet in depth. Test pits will be approximately eight(S) feet wide, 20 feet long, and 15 feet deep- Test pit(s)will be backfilled. After sample collecting is complete,bore hole(s)will be backfilled and sealed with grout, Equipment to be used for the exploration includes a truck mounted drill rig, a water truck, backhoe and a pick-up truck. The rights and privileges hereby granted to District may, at the option of the District, be exercised by any authorized agent or contractor of District,including Cl-MM B11, Olivia Chen Consultants, and Pitcher Drilling- District agrees upon the completion of any work hereunder to restore the surface of the ground as near as possible to the condition in which it was prior to the commencement of said work- It is understood and agreed that the District will leave the premises in a clean and orderly condition and will repair,replace, or compensate for any existing improvements that my have been disturbed or removed during the course of work- Project team members and the project consultant have been thoroughly instructed in proper field procedures and conduct. The following rules will be followed: • Property owners will be given at least 24 hours notice prior to entry by phone or mail- Gates will be left as they were found. • No pets or firearms will be permitted • All machinery and vehicles will be equipped with spark arrestors. • All vehicles will be required to carry fire extinguishers and shovels. • Smoking is.permitted only in enclosed vehicles. • No trash or other evidence of field visits will be left on the property. • All field staff will carry identification and information regarding this project. • Vehicle speeds will be kept to five (5) miles per hour on unpaved roads in agricultural properties to minimize dust- Owner is welcome to accompany or observe any of the crews working on their property at any time. 1
