Studies will consist of wildlife surveys, plant studies, and archeological field studies, and <br /> preliminary engineering studies, including surveying, in connection with the District's Initial Study <br /> of the Folsom South Canal Connection Project. <br /> The rights and privileges hereby granted to District may, at the option of the District, be exercised <br /> by any authorized agent or contractor of District, including but not limited to C112M Hill, Sones& <br /> Stokes Associates, and their subconsultants. <br /> Even though this Permit does not require physical sod disturbance of Owner's land, it is understood <br /> and agreed that the District will leave the premises in a clean and orderly condition and will repair, <br /> replace, or compensate for any existing improvements that may have been unexpectedly or <br /> accidentally disturbed during the course of work_ <br /> Project team members and the project consultant have been thoroughly instructed in proper field <br /> procedures and conduct. The following roles will be followed: <br /> • Property owners will be given at Ieast 24 hours' notice by telephone or mail prior to entry.. <br /> • Crates will be left as they were found. <br /> All vehicles will stay on roads, no off-road vehicle travel will be permitted_ <br /> • No pets or firearms will be permitted. <br /> • All machinery and vehicles will be equipped with spark arrestors. <br /> • All vehicles will be required to carry fire extinguishers and shovels. <br /> • Smoking is per ritted only in enclosed vehicles. <br /> • No trash or other evidence of field visits will be left on the property. <br /> • All field staff will cavy identification and information regarding this project. <br /> • Vehicle speeds will be kept to five (5) miles per hour on unpaved roads in agricultural <br /> properties to minimize dust. <br /> Owner is welcome to accompany or observe any of the crews working on their property at any time. <br /> 1 <br />
