W f«c 5 Assessor's Parcel No.: 009-084 • �j PERMIT TO ENTER FOR GEOTECHNICAL SAM TANG FOR FOLSOM SOUTH CANAL CONNECTION PROJECT For a consideration of$500, permission is granted to East Bay Municipal Utility District("District")for a period between December 1, 1996 through March 31, 1997 to enter in, over,and upon owner's land to bore hole(s) and excavate test pit(s) in connection with the District's Initial Study of the Folsom South Canal Connection Project The location(s)of geotechnical test site(s)will be determined in consultation with the landowner(s). Geotechnical sampling will be either bore hole(s) or test pit(s). The exploration hole(s) will be approximately 30-50 feet in depth. Test pits will be approximately eight(8)feet wide,20 feet Iona,and 15 feet deep. Test pit(s)will be backfilled. After sample collecting is complete, bore holes)will be backfilled and sealed with grout. Equipment to be used for the exploration includes a truck mounted drill rig, a water truck,backhoe and a pick-up truck. The rights and privileges hereby granted to District may, at the option of the District, be exercised by any authorized agent or contractor of District, including CH2M Hill, Olivia Chen Consultants, and Pitcher Drilling- District agrees upon the completion of any work hereunder to restore the surface of the ground as near as possible to the condition in which it was prior to the commencement of said work. It is understood and agreed that the District will leave the premises in a clean and orderly condition and will repair, replace, or compensate for any existing improvements that may have been disturbed or removed during the course of work. Project team members and the project consultant have been thoroughly instructed in proper field procedures and conduct. The following-'rules will be followed- Property owners will be given at least 24 hours notice prior to entry by phone or mail- Gates will be left as they were found- No pets or firearms will be permitted. All machinery and vehicles will be equipped with spark arrestors- All vehicles will be required to cavy fire extinguishers and shovels- Smoking is permitted only in enclosed vehicles- No trash or other evidence of field visits will be left on the property. All field staff will carry identification and information regarding this project_ • Vehicle speeds will be kept to five(5)miles per hour on unpaved roads in agricultural properties to minimize dust.
