Pc�ru� t 1aZCr©o <br /> RECEIVED <br /> Assessor's Parcel No.: 009-180-03 OCT - 91996 <br /> WATER SUPPLY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> PF.RA=TO ENTER <br /> FOR GEOTECHNICAL SAMPLING <br /> FOR FOLSOM SOUTH CANAL CONNECTION PROJECT <br /> For a consideration of$500 per occurrence permission is granted to East Bay Municipal Utility <br /> District ("District") for a period between December 1, 1996 through March 31, 1997 to enter in, <br /> over, and upon owner's land to bore hole(s) and excavate test pit(s) as delineated on the map <br /> attached hereto and made a part hereof for the purposes of geotechnical fieid exploration in <br /> connection with the District's Initial Study of the Folsom South Canal Connection Project_ <br /> Geotechnical sampling will be either bore hole(s) or test pit(s). The exploration hole(s) will be <br /> approximately 30-50 feet in depth Test pits will be approximately eight (8)feet wide, 20 feet long, <br /> and 15 feet deep. Test pit(s)will be backfilled. After sample collecting is complete, bore hole(s)will <br /> be backfilled and sealed with grout. Equipment to be used for the exploration includes at truck <br /> mounted drill rig, a water truck, backhoe and a pick-up truck. <br /> The rights and privileges hereby granted to District may, at the option of the District, be exercised <br /> by any authorized agent or contractor of District, including CH2M Frill, Olivia Chen Consultants, and <br /> Pitcher Drilling. <br /> District agrees upon the completion of any work hereunder to restore the surface of the ground as <br /> near as possible to the condition in which it was prior to the commencement of said work- <br /> It <br /> orkIt is understood and agreed that the District will leave the premises in a clean and orderly condition <br /> and will repair,replace, or compensate for any existing improvements that may have been disturbed <br /> or removed during the course of work <br /> Project team members and the project consultant have been thoroughly instructed in proper field <br /> procedures and conduct. The following rules will be followed: <br /> Property owners will be given at least 24 hours notice prior to entry by phone or mail_ <br /> Gates will be left as they were found_ <br /> • No pets or firearms will be permitted. <br /> • All machinery and vehicles will be equipped with spark arrestors. <br /> • All vehicles will be required to carry fire extinguishers and shovels. <br /> • Smoking is permitted only in enclosed vehicles. <br /> • No trash or other evidence of field visits will be left on the property. <br /> • All field staffwill carry identification and information regarding this project. <br /> Vehicle speeds will be kept to five (5) miles per hour on unpaved roads in agricultural <br /> properties to minimize dust. <br /> Owner is welcome to accompany or observe any of the crews working on their property at any time. <br /> t <br />
