Jahant Road, Acampo, CA <br /> e <br /> Dear Mr. hifurna: <br /> We are writing on behalf of the current property owner, Mr. Mike Kooyman, to provide you with <br /> documentation concerning the final disposition of the septic waste from the subject site. <br /> Waste Eva aration <br /> The waste material removed from the septic tank was evaporated in seven open top drums during <br /> the summer of 2002 under exemption from San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control <br /> District permitting requirements and with the concurrence of EHD. Following the completion of <br /> evaporation, three drums contained dried sludge and four drums contained no visible residue. <br /> Waste Samples <br /> On October 1, 2002, a Ground Zero technician collected sludge samples from each of the drums <br /> containing residue. The samples were stored in a chilled ice chest and transported to state- <br /> certified McCampbell Analytical, Inc. (FLAP No. 1644) under chain of custody protocol. The <br /> laboratory was instructed to composite the samples into one for analysis. Field notes are included <br /> in Attachment A. <br /> Laboratory AaWysi <br /> Per the requirements of Forward Landfill the composite sample was analyzed for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as diesel, kerosene and motor oil (TPHd, TPHk and TPHmo) by EPA Method 8015; <br /> for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and fuel oxygenates by EPA Method 8260; for semi-volatile <br /> organic compounds (SVOCs) by EPA Method 8270; for CAM 17 metals by EPA Method 6010; for <br /> soluble (STLC) copper by the CAM WET extraction and EPA 6010 analysis; and for reactivity, <br /> j corrosivity and ignitability(RCI)by the appropriate methods. <br /> 1 <br /> a <br />
