URS
' Ms. Kathy Amaru Page 5 of 6
Regional Water Quality Control Board—Central Valley Region
May 8,2011
' All other analytes were reported at less than laboratory detection limits. Groundwater monitoring
analytical data are summarized in Table 2,Table 3, and presented on Figure 3. Groundwater monitoring
well field sampling data sheets are provided in Attachment A. The laboratory analytical data report and
chain-of-custody documentation are provided in Attachment B. Groundwater analytical data were
submitted electronically to the State Water Resources Control Board GeoTracker System per Article 12,
Chapter 17,Division 3,Title 23 of the California Code of Regulations. Geotracker upload confirmation
sheets are included as Attachment C. The site was also surveyed on May 2, 2011. A copy of the survey
report is included as Attachment D.
CONCLUSIONS
tBased on the results of groundwater monitoring activities,URS concludes the following:
' • The direction of groundwater flow beneath the site was to the northwest with a gradient of 0.0016
feet per foot(ft/ft).
' • The results of the pilot test to date have been very promising, indicating chlorinated ethenes are
being destroyed by the anaerobic bacteria in the treatment area, while concentrations of secondary
water quality parameters have remained close to baseline levels in transition and compliance wells.
RECOMMENDATIONS
• Continue sampling the six on-site monitoring wells quarterly to assess pilot test.
1
H'.\Wpmceus SD\DVI-Bum Pit@0110 -BPdQMRl l Report.doc
