<br /> LIABILITY ORDER R5-2017-0530, CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS AND
<br /> REHABILITATION, DEUEL VOCATIONAL INSTITUTION, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
<br /> Enclosed is Settlement Agreement and Stipulation for Entry of Administrative Civil Liability
<br /> Order R5-2017-0530 (Order), issued to the California Department of Corrections and
<br /> Rehabilitation. This Order resolves violations of Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs) Order
<br /> R5-2014-0014 (NPDES CSA0078093) and Cleanup and Abatement Order (CAO) R5-2015-
<br /> 0704 related to submitting delinquent CAO Reports, a discharge of partially treated wastewater
<br /> between 1 January and 30 April 2016, and failure to properly maintain and operate the facility.
<br /> The Order imposes an administrative civil liability in the amount of two million three hundred
<br /> thousand dollars ($2,300,000).
<br /> A check in the amount of one million two hundred seven thousand forty dollars
<br /> ($1,207,040) shall be remitted to the State Water Resources Control Board Accounting Office
<br /> by 25 September 2017, Attn: ACL Payment, P.O. Box 1888, Sacramento, CA 95812-1888.
<br /> Copies of the check shall be sent to David Boyers, Assistant Chief Counsel, State Water
<br /> Resources Control Board, Office of Enforcement, P.O. Box 100, Sacramento, CA 95812 and
<br /> Howard Hold, Acting Supervisor, Compliance and Enforcement Section, Regional Water Quality
<br /> Control Board, Central Valley Region, 11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite 200, Rancho Cordova, CA
<br /> 95670. Each check should reference "ACL Order R5-2017-0530" in the subject line.
<br /> In addition, a check in the amount of one million ninety two thousand nine hundred sixty
<br /> dollars ($1,092,960) shall be remitted the Rose Foundation for Communities and Environment
<br /> (Rose Foundation), by 25 September 2017, Atth: Tim Little 1970 Broadway, Suite 600,
<br /> Oakland, CA 94612-2218. Copies of the check shall be sent to David Boyers, Assistant Chief
