BYGEO
INCORPORATED
California Department of Resources (DWR) Well Completion Reports will be prepared and
submitted in accordance with regulations. In addition, Monitoring Well Construction Detail
forms(Appendix A) will be completed and included in the initial report.
After the cement grout has set for at least 48 hours, the well will be developed using a surge
block and bailer. Approximately 15 to 25 well volumes will be removed from the well during
the development process. Field parameters, including pH, electrical conductivity, temperature,
turbidity, dissolved oxygen and salinity will be monitored and recorded during the development
process on the Monitoring Well Development Form presented in Appendix A.
GROUNDWATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS
After the monitoring wells have been installed and no sooner than 48 hours after the initial well
development activities, groundwater from the wells will be sampled and analyzed according to
the procedures described in this section.
Sampling Preparations
The following guidelines are suggested, but not required, as preparation for sampling events:
• Laboratory Coordination
o Call specified labs approximately one week prior to the proposed sampling date to
confirm and order glassware required for the sampling.
o Test for the items listed below under Sample Analyses.
o Arrange for appropriate type and quantity of bottles to be delivered or arrange for
pick-up.
o Confirm holding time and other details applicable for the proposed testing.
4943.4.640.01
April 17, 2007 5
