Tony Gonzalez Trucking
1855 Jackson Avenue, Escalon - 2 - 12 March 2001
Ground Zero identified the extent of soil contamination and estimated the remaining mass in soil at
4,550 pounds of gasoline, and 12 pounds of benzene. Based on the remaining mass in soil, and the
potential threat to groundwater, Ground Zero recommends completing a feasibility study to
determine if soil vapor extraction would be an effective remediation alternative. Board staff agree
with this recommendation.
By 14 May 2001, prepare and submit a complete Problem Assessment Report (PAR) as presented
in the enclosed Appendix A to the Tri-Regional Recommendations. The PAR must include a
feasibility study to identify and evaluate a minimum of three remediation alternatives. If you would
like to complete pilot testing for soil vapor extraction, submit a_plan of work to this office outlining
your study as part of the PAR. -
Please notify me at least two business days prior to any site work or sampling.
