i
NOA Drywell Closure and Investigation Page 15 of 26
May 30, 2014
One (1) soil sample was collected from DW-1 and split between two identical containers to fulfill
the Replicate Samples Quality Control/Quality Assurance requirement (See Section 4.5). Both
containers were analyzed for the following:
• RCRA Metals by EPA Method 6010
5.1.3 Equipment Blank
One (1) equipment blank was obtained during soil sampling and one (1) equipment blank was
obtained during groundwater sampling. Both equipment blank samples were analyzed for the
following:
• RCRA Metals by EPA Method 6010
5.1.4 Waste Characterization
Seven (7) soil samples were collected from the seven (7) drums containing drill cuttings and
waste water from overdrilling and sampling activities. Samples were composited 4:1 And 3:1,
for a total of two (2) soil samples analyzed for CAM-17 Metals by EPA Method 6010 with the
Total Threshold Limit Concentration (TTLC) extraction method.
5.2 Analytical Deviations
The following deviations from the work plan arose during laboratory analysis:
• Total Recoverable Petroleum Hydrocarbon samples were analyzed using EPA Method
418.1 rather than EPA Method 8440. This method was used since the certified analytical
laboratory only uses this method for Total Recoverable Petroleum Hydrocarbon analysis.
5.3 Analytical Results
A total of thirteen (13) soil samples, fourteen (14) groundwater samples, and two (2)
equipment blank samples were collected during sampling activities for laboratory analysis. The
analytical results for the soil and groundwater samples are summarized below in Tables 2 - 8.
Only Constituents of Potential Concern (COPCs) with elevated levels in soil and/or groundwater
samples are included below. In addition, the two (2) composite samples analyzed for CAM-17
Metals with TTLC for landfill profiling are included below in Table 9. All of the analytical results
are attached as Appendix D.
1 902 Industrial Way • Lodi, CA 95240- 209.367.3701 • Fax 209.333.8303 02014 Neil 0.Anderson fi Associates, Inc.
