The Water Board doesn't need to see quarterly data any longer, especially since the rest of the
monitoring wells at RMB are only sampled semi-annually.
I'm working with UniFirst on their PCE plume on the block north of RMB, and in RMB's history, I asked Frank
Girard to look for PCE in a few wells to ascertain if the extraction system would be pulling any of the PCE out of
its historical plume path. RMB is finding PCE in MW-12 at the SW corner of E. Flora and N . Hunter, but is not
finding PCE in MW-7, which is between MW-12 and the extraction system . I believe that the Water Board
has seen enough of the quarterly data to feel confident that a PCE surprise won't show up in between semi-
annual events.
If you have any questions, you may contact me as follows :
Amy Terrell
Regional Water Quality Control Board
Central Valley Region
11020 Sun Center Drive Suite 200
Rancho Cordova, CA 95670-6114
(916) 464-4680
aterrellowaterboards ca .gov_
,, 3/31 /2011
