(AGE) . San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)
has received the electronically submitted (to Geotracker) analytical results for
the influent and effluent vapor samples collected during the pilot test. The
highest concentration of contaminants on March 13`h was 8,300 micrograms
per liter (ug/1) of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (IPH-g) and 760
ug/1 benzene, and 67,000 ug/l TPH-g and 4,400 ug/1 benzene on March 15" .
According to the latest quarterly report Monitoring Welllnstalladon andQuarterly
Report - Fourth Quarter 2005 (the report) dated April 11 , 2006, analytical results
of the groundwater samples in monitoring well MW-3 were 520,000 ug/1 TPH-
g and 130,000 ug/l benzene, and 450 ug/11 ,2-dicholoroethane (1 ,2-DCA) ,
continuing the trend of increasing dissolved contaminant concentrations in
2005 compared to 2003 and 2004. Analytical results of the soil samples
collected 15 feet below surface grade (bsg) from the extraction well DPE- 1
boring (about 10 feet east of MW-3) were 1 ,200 micrograms per kilogram
(mg/kg) of TPH-g, 8,600 mg/kg TPH-diesel, and 48 mg/kg benzene, and at
30 feet bsg the results were 2,400 mg/kg TPH-g, 5,200 mg/kg TPH-d, and 95
mg/kg benzene. Depth to groundwater (DTW) in MW-3 in November, 2005
was reported at 26. 64 feet bsg. EHD has not received the report of the pilot
test as of April 242 2006.
