' Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report <br /> • R.M.B. GARAGE (ERARDI VENTURES) <br />' 715 North Hunter Street, Stockton, California <br />' 1 0. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Vince Erardi of R M B Garage (Erardi Ventures), Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this preliminary investigation and evaluation report <br /> (PIER) for 715 North Hunter Street (the site), Stockton, California The scope of work included <br />' advancement of four soil probe borings and the collection and analysis of soil and ground water <br /> samples The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated on Figure 1 Major features and <br /> soil boring locations on the site are illustrated on Figure 2 <br />' This investigation was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage <br />' tank (UST) sites <br /> I2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located on the northwest corner of Park Street and North Hunter Street in a <br /> • commercial/residential area of Stockton, California (Figure 1) Based on historical research of the <br /> area, the site began dispensing fuel in the 1930's or 1940's and ceased prior to 1986 The site <br /> operated as a car dealership until approximately 1987, since 1987 the site has operated as an auto <br /> service repair shop <br /> 2 1 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br />' On 12 April 2001, one 500-gallon waste-oil UST (Tl) and two 500-gallon fuel USTs (T2 and T3) <br /> were removed from beneath the sidewalk adjacent to 715 North Hunter Street, Stockton,California <br /> The USTs were removed under PHS-EHD permit by Stockton Service Station Equipment Company, <br /> Inc The approximate location of the former USTs is shown on Figure 2 <br /> During the UST removals,one soil sample was collected beneath each of the USTs(T 1-W,T2-E and <br /> T3-E) and one soil sample each was collected 2 5-feet beneath the former locations of two fuel <br /> dispensers and one waste-oil fill port(D1-2 5',D2-2 5'and WO-1) Additionally,two samples were <br /> collected from stockpiled soil removed from the excavation (SP 1-W and SPI-E) Petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons were detected in each soil sample collected Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline <br /> (TPH-g) was detected in the soil samples collected beneath the USTs and fuel dispensers at <br /> concentrations as high as 4,300 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) Total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> diesel and motor oil (TPH-d and TPH-mo) were detected in samples collected beneath the former <br /> waste oil UST and fill port and from the stockpile soil samples at concentrations as high as 1,800 <br /> . mg/kg Oil and grease was detected in the soil sample collected beneath the former waste oil UST <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
