MS-88-3 , Minor Subdivision on the northwest <br /> corner of Mettler Road abd Ham Lane , south of Lodi. <br /> This is to notify your that the Planning Division approved your <br /> application subject to the attached conditions . <br /> You qualified for a I — 3 acre homesite parcel under the provision <br /> that the creation of the smaller parcel was necessary in order to <br /> finance a residence for the owner—operator . The intent of this <br /> ordinance provision is to assist farmers in preserving and retaining <br /> their farming operation , while not encumbering the entire property <br /> for mortgage purposes . The ordinance was not intended to permit the <br /> creation of small parcels for speculative sale purposes within <br /> established agricultural areas . This office wants to make sure that <br /> your understand the provisions of this ordinance as we received <br /> numerous letters in opposition of this application . These <br /> surrounding property owners were concerned that if this application <br /> were approved , Parcel A would be sold , and not utilized for its <br /> intended purpose . <br /> A ten ( 10) day appeal period is required from the date this letter is <br /> sent out . Appeals may be filed by any interested party , including <br /> the applicant . The appeal period will expire on AUGUST 24 , 1987 at <br /> 5 : 00 p .m. If not appealed , the action will be final at that time . <br /> The approval is valid until AUGUST 24 , 1989.
