KLEINFELDER <br /> 3 4AN ALYTICAL RESULTS <br /> Ten soil samples from the boreholes drilled in January 1993 (B-3 and MW-1, MW-2, MW-3) <br /> and one soil sample from each boring drilled in February 1993 (B-4 through B-7) were <br /> submitted to Superior Precision Analytical Laboratories, Inc. (Superior) in Martinez, <br /> California. Superior is certified by the State of California Department of Toxic Substances <br /> Control (DTSQ for the requested analyses The 14 soil samples were selected based on field <br /> observations, screening readings, and depth in the boring The soil samples were analyzed <br /> for: <br /> 1,111 11 Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH-D) <br /> ► Purgeable Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH-G) <br /> Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes (BTEX) <br /> The 20-foot sample from each of the January borings (Sample Nos 71223, 71233, 71241, and <br /> 71507) contained TPH above 100 mg/kg. In addition, the 15-foot sample (No 71240) from <br /> MW-3 and the 30-foot sample (No 71235) from B-3 contained 17 and 15 mg/kg of TPH <br /> (purgeable and extractable combined), respectively The laboratory reported on each of the <br /> positive extractable TPH analyses that the pattern of peaks in the chromatogram are typical of <br /> hydrocarbons lighter than diesel None of the samples submitted from the February drilling <br /> (B-4, B-5, B-6, B-7) contained TPH-D, TPH-G, or BTEX concentrations The analytical <br /> results for the soil samples are presented on Table 1 and Plate 4 Chain-of-custodies and <br /> laboratory data sheets are included in Appendix D <br /> 24-220152-DOOIFR12-105 (1993) Page 6 of 18 July 27, 1993 <br /> copyright 1993 Kleinfelder, Inc <br />
