EN OACHME'NT PERMIT REQUH1 ENIL,NTS The City of Majiteca Public Works Department requires that each contractor-shall follow requirements set forth below while working on or near the public right of way. Noncompliance with the following items may result in.the stoppage of work and/or the revoking of the eiacmaclunent permit. -I. SIGNING A. All signing must conform to the most current edition of the Manual ofToffic Controls for Construction and Maintenance Work Zories. B. Signs shall be placed on traffic standards (flag trees) or fixed to permanent posts. Flags shall be inserted in traffic standards. PLACEMENT OF SIGNS-.ON BARRICADES IS FORBIDDEN. C., Signs in the work zone will be maintained at all times. D. Signs.shall be'.elean and legible. .E. Flaggers will wear orange vests and hard.hats at all times and use stop and slow paddles. Paddles will be held by flaggers. Paddles will be held by flaggers. Paddles will not be placed in cones or on barricades. Flaggers will not do any other work than flagging.- F. lagging.F. A worksite traffic plan shall be submitted for review to the Traffic Engineer seventy=t vo (72)hours prior to commencement of work. No work will begin until the worksite traffic plan has been accepted and signed off by the City Engineer. U. CONSTRUCTION- A. ' Your attention is directed to the general provisions listed on the back of the encroacl=ent pernait. I3. Street cuts, where portions of street paving have been removed,will be cold patched at the end of the working day. C. Streets will be swept clean at the end of each-Working day to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. D. No construction materials are to be stacked in public right of way unless permitted by the City Engineer. E. Water permits are required.for each construction project. Only approved fire hydrant*" renblies may be used to draw water from City fire hydrants. All water trucks shall have approved air gaps. F. All final inspection repairs are to be completed within five (5)working days upon receipt of list. G. Show proof of City of Manteca business license prior to issuance of encroachment permit.
