MTBE was
detected in the soil samples collected from MW-11 and EW-1 at depths of 26 and 39 feet bgs,
respectively. However, these samples were collected from saturated soils; MTBE was not detected in any
' soil samples collected above the water table.
4.4 WELL CASING SURVEY
' On November 5, 2003, monitoring wells MW-4R, MW-10, MW-11, and EW-1 were surveyed to
determine the location and elevation of the well collars relative to a NAD83 benchmark datum
(Benchmark No. HS4486). X and Y survey coordinates were collected with a Trimble 5700 centimeter-
level RTK Global Positioning System (GPS) and referenced to NAD83 datum by post-processing the
base station against the Condor Stockton (CNDR) CORS station. Elevations were determined by
TOPCON AT-63 Autolevel from the base station and referenced to NAVD88 datum using the base
station elevation obtained by a 3-minute RTK occupation of NGS Benchmark HS4486, elevation 35.03
feet. The Well collars were surveyed with a vertical accuracy of 0.01 foot and a horizontal accuracy of
0.05 foot. The measuring point for water-level measurements was marked on each well collar.
