Boyett Petroleum <br /> 419 South Main Street <br /> iManteca, California <br /> iInterim Report of Findings <br /> Lateral Extent of Groundwater Contamination <br /> 1.0 Project Identification <br /> This project was developed to explore the lateral migration of the groundwater <br /> contamination plume at the Boyett Petroleum fueling facility located at 419 South Main <br /> Street, Manteca, California. The results of this investigation have been used to further <br /> define the groundwater contamination plume and to determine an effective mitigation <br /> strategy. <br /> i <br /> 2.0 Site Description and History <br /> SC&D Boyett Petroleum is located in Manteca (Figure 1). The property is identified as <br /> Parcel 23 in Book 9, on Map 2 of the Baccilieri Park Addition. The Assessor Parcel <br />' • Number (APN) is 219-38-23 in San Joaquin County. The subject parcel has a physical <br /> address known as 419 South Main Street, Manteca, CA(Figure 2). <br /> On November 20, 1996 tiVHHF, Inc., under the direction of Mr. Robert McClellon of San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Service, Environmental Health Division (SJC PHS/EHD), <br />.' collected one (1) soil sample from beneath each of the three (3) existing dispensers at <br /> approximately 24 inches underlying the dispenser piping. <br /> Samples were collected employing the use of a hand driven sampler with brass sleeves. <br /> After sample collection the sleeve was sealed, labeled, logged on a Chain of Custody and <br /> collected in an ice chest on Blue Ice® to await transport to a certified laboratory. <br /> On November 21 1996 WET, Inc_ under the direction of Mr. Robert McClellon of San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health, collected four (4) discrete soil samples in brass <br /> ' sleeves to characterize the stockpiled soils from the demolition and retrofit activities <br /> conducted at this site. The four (4) sleeves collected were composited into two (2) soil <br /> samples for analysis at the laboratory. Those two (2) samples are representative of the <br /> approximately 44 cubic yards of material stockpiled. All samples collected during this event <br /> were sealed, labeled, logged on a Chain of Custody and cooled in a ice chest with Blue <br /> 1lGl'S+ IA1 $WiLitlAilll0j)ULULLlV11 LV L1116 \,VLLIiLLLi LLLVV4K�VL�. <br />
