San Joaquin Street
Stockton, CA 95201
SUBJECT: WORK PLAN FOR SOIL AND GROUND-WATER VERIFICATION
SAMPLING BANNER ISLAND, STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Infurna:
Luhdorff and Scalmanini, Consulting Engineers (LSCE) have prepared the attached Work
Plan for Soil and Ground-Water Verification Sampling, Banner Island for your review. The
work plan summarizes the previous investigations conducted at the site and reports the
results of a recent soil gas investigation at the site, which was performed by LSCE in April
1993 to determine the possible presence of localized sources of volatile organic compounds
in soil and/or ground water. The work plan also proposes a soil and ground-water sampling
program to verify the results of the soil gas investigation. LSCE will arrange for the
proposed work at the site upon receiving approval of the work plan, and notify County staff
48 hours prior to commencement of field activities.
Also enclosed are the well permit application form with site map and a check for $89.00
(County processing fee) and the completed Master File Record Information form. The
General Program File form has been sent to Mr. Robert Sivell, City of Stockton, for his
signature. Mr. Sivell will deliver that completed form and the County fee for oversight of
the site investigation (Local Haz Mat Site, $390.00) as soon as possible.
Please call me or Liese Schadt at (916) 661-0109 with any questions or comments you may
have regarding the work plan, and Mr. Tom Dea of Layne Environmental in Woodland may
500 First Street, Woodland, CA 95695 • 916.661.0109 • Fax 916.661.6806
