CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. <br /> T <br /> FOR <br /> DEFENSE DISTRIBUTION DEPOT SAN JOAQUIN E <br /> SHARPE WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY N <br /> This Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP)presents requirements for monitoring of the <br /> wastewater influent, effluent, percolation ponds, groundwater, and sludge. This MRP is issued T <br /> pursuant to Water Code Section 13267. The Discharger may request revisions to this MRP after one <br /> year of monitoring data has been collected and reported to the Regional Board. The Discharger shall <br /> not implement any changes to this MRP unless and until a revised MRP is issued by the Executive I <br /> Officer. Specific sample station locations shall be approved by Regional Board staff prior to <br /> implementation of sampling activities. l.. <br /> All wastewater samples should be representative of the volume and nature of the discharge. The time, <br /> date, and location of each grab sample shall be recorded on the sample chain of custody form. All I <br /> samples shall be collected and preserved in accordance with EPA and analytical methodology. <br /> Field testing instruments (such as those used to test pH and dissolved oxygen)may be used provided V <br /> that: <br /> 1. The operator is trained in proper use and maintenance of the instruments; E <br /> 2. The testing instruments shall be calibrated and serviced in accordance with manufacturer's <br /> recommendations; and <br /> 3. Field calibration reports are provided with the appropriate monitoring report. <br /> INFLUENT MONITORING <br /> Influent samples shall be collected at approximately the same time as effluent samples and should be <br /> representative of the waste stream. Influent monitoring shall include the following: <br /> Sampling Reporting <br /> Constituent Units Type of Sample Frequency Frequency <br /> Flow' gpd Continuous Daily Monthly <br /> Meter <br /> BOD52 mg/L Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> ' Flow may be monitored from the pump station that conveys effluent into the evaporation/percolation pond. <br /> 2 5-day biochemical oxygen demand. <br />
