JOHN
PHILLIPS Sri
DISTRICT ATTORNEY
San Joaquin County
April 23, 2004
Ms Patricia Bonnifeld
Ladd's Stockton Marina, Inc.
4911 Buckley Cove Way
Stockton, Ca. 95219
Re: People v. Ladd's Stockton Marina, Inc.
Dear Ms. Bonnifeld:
Office of the District Attorney
San Joaquin County Courthouse, Rm. 202
222 E. Weber Ave., Stockton, California 95202
P.O. Box 990, Stockton, California 95201
Telephone: (209) 468-2400
FAX: (209) 465-0371
I am writing in reference to your letter of February 12, 2004. In that letter, you indicated
that you would be in contact with this office after who had heard from DTSC. It is my
understanding that DTSC forwarded a proposed Voluntary Cleanup Agreement to you in early
April.
It is good that you have been involved with DTSC and agreed to participate in a voluntary
cleanup program. I am hopeful that process is continuing at this time. Our office does need to
make a filing decision about this matter and we again invite you to meet with us so that the
decision can have the benefit of current information regarding the status of the site.
I would propose that we meet at our office on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 10:00 a.m.. By
that time, you should have a good idea of where things are with respect to DTSC and hopefully
we can find a resolution to this matter. I would appreciate it if you would bring a copy of your
signed Voluntary Cleanup Agreement to this meeting.
Please contact Diane in our office at (209) 943-7748 to confirm this appointment.
Thank you for your courtesy and cooperation.
Very truly yours,
OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Peter C. Pumphrey
Deputy District Attorney
Environmental Prosecutions Unit
cc: Kasey Foley, EHD
