_
PRE-TANK REPLACEMENT Site Assessment work Plan
^ 420 NEST KETTLEMAN LANE,L001, CA.
Aegis Project No. 89-013
Page 7
2.5 Spill, Leak_and Accident History
A review of San Joaquin County Health District records indicate that
tank system tightness tests have been conducted on the underground
fuel storage tanks and dispensing system according to San Joaquin
County guidelines since 1986. A tank system tightness test completed
in the summer of 1986 detected a leak in the vent lines of the premium
and regular unleaded tanks. The leak was repaired and the estimated
loss of product was less than 0.5 gallons. Since that time the tanks
have been reported as "tight". Records documenting the environmental
history of the site are not available for years prior to 1986.
2.6 Utilities
Prior to beginning any field work, Underground Service Alert (USA)
will be contacted and all underground utilities marked. Additionally,
to prevent drilling through sub-surface utilities, the first five feet
of all borings will be advanced by hand angering techniques.
2.6.1 On-Site Underground Utilities
Underground utilities that service the site include looter, electric
sanitary and storm sewer. Locations of the underground utilities are
i'.
shown on Figure -2. Electric and telephone service
i' is provided to the station building via .underground. cable' from a
utility pale located on the southeastern corner of the site. The water
and sanitary sewers access the property at the northeast corner of the
site from Kettleman Lane. Four storm sewer drain inlets are located on
the site. A man hole for the storm sewers is located on the northwest
..corner ,of. the site.. .
i 2.5.2 off-Site Utilitiess
,
Approximate locations of natural
pp gas, water, sanitary sewer- and-storm
i i sewer lines beneath Kettleman Lane and Hutchins Street and are shown
on Figure 3.
