r � <br /> i <br /> r C= <br /> Ms Margaret Lagono <br /> l= May 8, 1995 (93479013) JL <br /> All field work and sampling will be conducted according to the SOP included in <br /> Attachment 1 At a minimum, the monitoring well will be constructed according to the standards <br /> found in the California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Section 2647 and 2648, and the California <br /> Department of Water Resources Bulletin 74-90 Typical monitoring well construction details are <br /> shown on Figure 3 The 6-inch-diameter soil boring will be grouted using a tremmie pipe with <br /> a 5% bentonite cement slurry, and finished to the surface with concrete <br /> Soil cuttings generated during drilling will be temporarily stockpiled on site under and on <br /> plastic sheeting, pending characterization for disposal All development and ansate water <br /> generated during drilling will be temporarily stored on-site in approved Department of <br /> Transportation (DOT) 55-gallon drums pending characterization <br /> A site-specific safety plan (SSSP) is Included in Attachment 2 The SSSP includes a list <br /> of responsible persons with telephone numbers, and a map highlighting the route to the nearest <br /> emergency facility The SSSP will be on site during all field activities All on site work will <br /> be performed according to the SSSP <br /> Labointony Analyses <br /> Selected soil samples will be submitted to Sequoia Analytical Laboratory, a state-certified <br /> analytical laboratory in Sacramento, California, for chemical analysis The suite of analyses and <br /> the "Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of <br /> Underground Tank Sites" (August 10, 1991) practical quantitation or detection limits (PQL) to <br /> be used for the soil samples are as follows <br /> a) TPH, as gasoline, by EPA Method 8015 (PQL = 1 0 ppm), and <br /> b) Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), by EPA Method 8020 <br /> (PQL = 0 005 ppm) <br /> The suite of analyses and detection limits or PQL for groundwater samples are <br /> a) TPH, as gasoline, by EPA Method 8015 (PQL = 0 05 ppm), and <br /> b) BTEX, by EPA Method 8020 (PQL = 0 0005 ppm) <br /> Laboratory quality assurance and control is addressed In Attachment 1 <br /> 93479013 AWP 3 <br />
