This investigation included soil and groundwater sampling.
Further Characterization at the West Weber Avenue and North Lincoln Street
Site, Parcel 2A (Clayton, December 18, 2001). This investigation included
lithology logging using Cone Penetrometer Testing, evaluation of potential free
phase petroleum product using an ultra violet induced fluoroscopy tool, soil
sampling, and groundwater sampling.
• Site Delineation Report, Parcel 2A and Adjacent Areas, Stockton California,
(Clayton August 22, 2002). This report documented additional lateral and vertical
delineation as well as a soil gas survey and monitoring well repair.
• Quarterly Monitoring Report, Former Unocal and Morton Paint Facilities,
Weber and Lincoln Streets, Stockton, California (Clayton November 1, 2002).
This report
The results from the latest quarterly monitoring event (as reported in the November 1,
2002 report) indicate that total petroleum hydrocarbons in the gasoline range (TPHg) are
defined to the east and south, TPH in the diesel range (TPHd) is defined to the south, and
TPH in the motor oil range (TPHmo) is defined to the east and south. These figures are
presented as Figures 5, 6, 7. Based on this observation, to achieve complete delineation
of petroleum hydrocarbons and related compounds in groundwater, monitoring wells are
needed to the southeast, north, and east.
4.0 SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work for the plume delineation activities is summarized in the following
bullets:
• Prepare and distribute a document to provide public notice of the type and
duration of upcoming work activities (to be coordinated with activities west of
former Harrison Street),
• Install five monitoring wells (3MW-1R, MW16-19),
• Abandon Well 1MW-1, which is damaged and partially filled with sand, ' J
• Develop the newly installed monitoring wells, and survey the wells for location
and elevation,
- `• Obtain water levels and sample the, newly installed monitoring wells for the
corresponding quarterly event,
• Add the newly installed wells to the quarterly monitoring program, and
4
PL SAlM\PR0=S\E00}\03t39 Unocal Lincoln and Wa10 nwkpin10ec0')\wkpinl dcc0a.dnc
