clays were interspersed with lenses of clay ranging from 1 to 5 feet in thickness. During boring activities
groundwater was typically encountered approximately 5 to 8 feet bgs. Boring logs and well completion details
for recently installed monitoring wells (i.e.; MW-65B, MW-67UA, MW-68A and MW-69UA) are presented in
Appendix C. Generalized geologic cross-sections are presented as Figures 3 and 4.
2.3.2 Soil Analytical Data
Selected soil samples were analyzed by Lancaster Laboratories Incorporated (Lancaster) of Lancaster,
Pennsylvania. Soil samples were analyzed for the following constituents:
• TPHg and TPHd using United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8015;
• benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), MtBE, tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), ethyl
tertiary butyl ether (EtBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), methanol,
ethanol, 1,2-dibromethane (EDB), and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) by EPA Method 8260B; and
• total lead by EPA Method 6010B.
Copies of the laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody documentation are presented in Appendix D.
Soil analytical results from this assessment activity and the UST removal are presented in Table 6. Soil
analytical results from this assessment are summarized below.
SOIL ANALYTICAL RESULTS FOR MW-69UA
Number of Detections -Minimum.,, Maximum
Above the MDL of the Detection in mglkg' Detection in mglkg.
Constituents 3 Total'Sari les jSample ID (Sample ID
TPHg 3 1.2 (MW-69UA-S-13.5) 1,100 (MW-69UA-S-7)
TPHd 1 <10 (MW-69UA-S-10.5) 1,400 (MW-69UA-S-7)
Benzene 2 0.002 (MW-69UA-S-10.5) 0.24 (MW-69UA-S-7)
Toluene 1 <0.001 (MW-69UA-S-10.5) 0.002 (MW-69UA-S-13.5)
Ethylbenzene 2 0.002 (MW-69UA-S-10.5) 1.2 (MW-69UA-S-7)
Total Xylenes 3 0.003 (MW-69UA-S-13.5) 5.5 (MW-69UA-S-7)
MtBE 1 <0.0005 (MW-69UA-S-13.5) 0.001 (MW-69UA-S-10.5)
Methanol 2 0.37(MW-69UA-S-10.5) 0.4 (MW-69UA-S-7)
Total Lead 3 6.02 (MW-69UA-S-10.5) 7.44 (MW-69UA-S-13.5)
Explanations:
TPHg =Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline
TPHd =Total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel
MtBE = Methyl tertiary butyl ether
MW-69UA-S-13.5= Soil boring sample MW-69UA at 13.5 feet bgs
MDL= Method detection limit
mg/kg = Milligram per kilogram
•
BLASLAND, BOUCK & LEE, INC.
3124106 engineers,scientists,economists 2-6
J:\D0006\44634_00161022_Conceptual Site Model,doc
