I _ F I Janus Giottonini Page 2 Argonne and Picardy it fl * The City of Stockton has issued a purchase order for the proposed over-excavation of the former tank pit_ The workplan proposes an additional S' of soil to be removed and at least four sidewall samples and one bottom soil sample to be collected to confirm hydrocarbon removal_ The work had been postponed due to the bad weather. The City of Stockton will schedule the work this week and will provide PHS/EHD notification on the date for the over-excavation. * The work will be completed and the documentation of the work (to include the laboratory results, chain of custody, and the soil disposal records) will be submitted to PHS/EHD for .` evaluation within 30 days after the completion of the work- * Should the limited excavation attempt fail to remove the remaining hydrocarbons, any additional work at this site should be conducted under the guidance of a qualified professional .j 1740 Houston Avenue * Three monitoring wells were installed last week at this site as per the workplan. Water sampling from the wells is scheduled for the third week of June.
