Box 388 Stockton, CA 95201-0388 �iFoa�:P <br /> (209) 468-3420 <br /> STEPHEN CHEN <br /> CITY OF STOCKTON <br /> DEPUTY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR � � rf �9�`f <br /> 425 N EL DORADO STREET <br /> STOCKTON CA 95202-1997 <br /> RE: Van Buskirk Golf Course SITE CODE: 1146 <br /> 1740 Houston Avenue <br /> Stockton CA <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) has reviewed your letter dated February 9, 1994 <br /> regarding excavation of soil in the area of the former underground <br /> storage (UST) tank location at the above referenced site. <br /> Review of our UST file indicates that a 550 gallon gasoline tank <br /> was removed in April 1991 and that soil sample results in the area <br /> of the dispenser at 4 feet below grade evidenced contamination of <br /> 350 parts per million (ppm) total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as <br /> gasoline and 7200 ppm TPH as diesel. <br /> On January 12, 1994 a 1000 gallon diesel tank was removed and soil <br /> sample results from the west side of the excavation at 11 feet <br /> below grade evidenced contamination of 435 ppm TPH as gasoline and <br /> 135 ppm TPH as diesel. <br /> Depth to groundwater at this site is approximately 15 feet below <br /> grade. Therefore, a groundwater investigation is warranted.
