(r1GE),Jeanne Homsey representing ATC Associates(ATC),and Margaret Lagorio,
Nuel C.Henderson, and Jeff Wong representing EHD. The following is a summary of the site discussions at the meeting.
Fontana Drive at Smith Canal
EHD received Second Quarter 2002 Site Status Report dated October 7,2002 and Third Quarter 2002 Site Status
Report dated October 9,2002 prepared by ATC at the meeting. A new cross section was included in the reports
as requested by EI ID. One more quarter of sampling is scheduled for January 2,2003.
110 W.Sonora
Currently the vapor extraction system for the northern area of contamination at the site is off line. AGE stated
the concentration of the contamination in the upper water-bearing zone has declined, but the contamination in
the lower water-bearing zone remained unchanged. AGE has submitted a proposal for ozone sparging system to
augment the existing vapor extraction/air sparging remediation system.
340 yards of contaminated soil has been excavated and removed from the southern area of contamination at the
site. AGE stated analytical results of the soil samples collected from the southern sidewall of the excavation
indicated the presence of motor oil. EHD has not received the report of the excavation area to date. AGE
stated the report and proposal for additional work to characterize the extent of the remaining contamination
would be submitted to EHD in the near future.
1740 Houston
EMD received First and SecondQuarrers 2002Quarier*Report dated October 8,2002 prepared by AGE at the
meeting. The report is missing two of the three contamination contour maps,so they will be submitted in the
near future. The report did not include analytical results of the third quarter sampling event. AGE stated
analytical results of the groundwater samples collected from Monitoring Well#9(L W-9) for the third quarter
were 58µg/1 of the methyl tert butyl ether(M IBE). Previous groundwater samples from MW9 were non detect
for MTBE. AGE stated since MNV-9 was screened from 70 feet to 75 feet below surface grade(bsg),the M"IBE
plume extends to 70 feet below surface grade. One additional round of quarterly sampling is scheduled to be
conducted in December 2002.
A meeting with the City of Stockton to discuss the status of their sites at that time is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.on March G,
2003,at the offices of EHD.
Donna Heran,RENS,Director
Environmental Health Department
 er' sMargareing RENS
Site Mitigation Unit
c CVRWQCB-Marty Harrell
AGE-Bill Little
ATC-Jeanne Homsey
