INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr: James Giottonini of the City of Stockton - Public Works Department, <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE) has prepared this work pian for additional site assessment <br /> activities to be conducted at the Van.Buskirk Golf Course maintenance facility located in Stockton, <br /> California(site). The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on <br /> .Figure 2. . <br /> The enclosed Work Plan for additional site assessment activities was prepared'as required by the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)by letter to Mr. <br /> Giottonini of the City of Stockton, dated 19 June 2001. The work plan presents the proposed scope <br /> of work to investigate the extent.of petroleum hydrocarbon impact to ground water at the site. <br /> This work plan is prepared in accordance Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites. , <br /> The purpose'of this additional site assessment is to define the vertical extent of methyl tertiary butyl <br /> ether impact to ground water at the site. This work plan provides'a description of the scope of work <br /> and field procedures for the.ground water assessment activities. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The Van Buskirk Golf Course is located at 1.740.Houston Avenue, Stockton, California(Figure 1). <br /> The golf'course is located in the incorporated City of Stockton. The golf course is situated along the <br /> south side of Houston Avenue and is bound on the east by Interstate 5, Walker Slough to the south, <br /> and open-space to the west. The maintenance facility site is located on the south central portion of <br /> 'the golf course. <br /> 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The maintenance facility site.consists of a maintenance shop structure, storage shed, and open <br /> storage area(Figure 2).In addition,the facility formerly operated two fuel USTs and fuel dispensers.; <br /> The-USTs formerly located at the'site consisted of a 550-gallon gasoline tank and a 1,000-gallon - <br /> diesel tank. <br /> Advanced GeoEnrironmental,Inc. <br />
