r <br /> City of Stockton A68101.02C <br /> February 23, 1996 Page B - 1 <br /> APPENDIX B <br /> SITE SAFETY PLAN <br /> The operations site safety plan for the Twining personnel assigned to the project are <br /> discussed in the following subsections. <br /> B-1 Potential Health and Safeq Hazards: Information developed regarding the site <br /> indicates that petroleum products are the potentially hazardous substance that has been <br /> stored on-site. <br /> Symptoms of direct exposure to significant concentrations of petroleum products may <br /> include: eye, nose, or skin irritation, nausea, and unconsciousness. <br /> If any of these symptoms develop, operations will be stopped immediately and medical <br /> attention will be obtained, as necessary. <br /> First aid procedures for direct exposure to the on-site materials are: <br /> • Skin: Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Flush affected area immediately <br /> . with water, then wash with soap and water. <br /> • Byes: Hold eyelid open and flush the eye with water. <br /> • <br /> Lungs: Move to fresh air immediately. Give artificial respiration as necessary. <br /> A list of emergency telephone numbers and contacts for emergencies requiring fire, police, <br /> and/or ambulance response is summarized in Table B-1.
